Teori Konspirasi BlackHand tentang AirAsia (yang mana saya tidak percaya)

Konon, seorang blogger di Cina sudah memprediksi kejadian AirAsia. Menurut MalayOnline:

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 — A mystery blogger believed to be a Chinese national has stirred a frenzy online with claims he predicted the disappearance of the Indonesia AirAsia flight QZ8501 nearly two weeks before it happened.
The original posts on a Chinese cyber forum has since spread to other international social networks including Reddit, where it has been loosely translated to claim that a shadowy global organisation had planned to take down the budget carrier, similar to how they had attacked two Malaysia Airlines planes, Flights MH370 and MH17 earlier this year.

Homeserver #3: Backing up photo to local network (Bittorent Sync)

On my last post, I asked which software should I install in my home server. I want to be able to backup my Android photos to my Intel Nuc Home Server, so look up for possible solutions online.

And the best solution? BitTorent Sync. Yes, there are other softwares that could back up your photos to your local network via wifi, such as this one, but if you also want to back up files in the future, I think bittorent sync would be the better platform.

You have to install bittorent sync in your Android phone and in your Home Server PC, and then set them up.

Now, I want my BT Sync to work only with my local IP. Also, I will have to make sure that BTSync will only backup -- instead of sync -- my files. We'll deal with this later.

Homeserver #2: Which software should you install on your Home Server?

Other the operating system, this is the list of apps running on my Intel NUC home server:

  • XAMPP. What is for? Well, XAMPP is used to run apache, mysql, php and perl. For now, I only active the apache. More on this later.
  • Plex. Installed as my media library and for watching videos.
  • Crashplan. A backup tool for all PCs in my home network.
  • Calibre. A software that hosts my ebook library.
  • Cops. Web based calibre content server. This is the reason why I need Apache to be running on my server. Cops client is dependent on Apache. With cops, I can access my books through the local DNS.
  • Unified Remote. This is a remote control app that works over wifi (and bluetooth). I installed the server on my home server and the client/controller on my Android.
The server is connected to my TV. So my dumb TV is now becoming rather "smart". I use unified remote to control Plex, browse the internet, shut it down  and control other apps.

Anything else I should install on my NUC?

Homeserver #1: Cost of Amahi Apps

Been considering to create a home server for both fun and work and now browsing at relevant apps. Amahi looks pretty cool, but it's not entirely free. The Amahi software itself is free but the apps are not. The cost of each Amahi apps are not readily transparent. But if you sign up, you'll find out how much it cost. Here's a snippet:

Seems quite pricey for me. So. for now, I think I'll just use a regular Windows with XAMPP for my homeserver, and I'll install this apps separately.

Crowdmapping

PhD foot note

@ailumulia says: 21.30. Kamchay Mear. Sitting on my bed, under the mosquito net, in a very warm night. Holding my pee, too lazy to go to the toilet which is outside the house, meters away from the front door. Swallowed 2 strong migraine pills. Loud music from neighbor party is banging my ears.

Too dizzy to stand still for my night prayer, almost vomited. Had cookies and milk for dinner. The only restaurant has been closed for days. Am having noodles again and again. Don't know how to use traditional stove works.

Sitting and praying. Talking to God.
Allah, help me to accept this. I know years or months from now, I will wish I enjoy this moment more than I am now. So help me to accept that this is home for now. Help me to accept that my neighbors are incredible noisy. That the toilet is so far away. That tonight is so hot. That I can't hug my other half until 2 weeks from now. That my hormone is trying to kill me once or twice every month. Help me to accept. That's all I need for tonight.

Love u always, God.

Selamat Tahun Baru 2013

@ailumulia write: When I started 2012, I made it very clear that this year will be the hard work year. The year when I must finish most of my field work, Mova must submit and defend his PhD thesis, and the year when we must maintain on and off (again) long distance relationship.

So against all temptations, I put aside desires and unrealistic plans. I said to my self, 2012 I will focus on 2 most matters in my life at this stage: my relationship with Mova and my PhD. It was not easy to focus on only 2 things, since I have million other important things. But to do/be good at these 2 are hard enough. And to maintain these 2 are my priority, at this stage.

Here we are at the end of 2012, I am so grateful for what Mova and I have achieved so far. But this year is not ending yet. To Mova and I, the real new sheet will start in February. Both Mova and I have big milestones in February. And before we pass these milestones, it is hard to speak about new resolution.

Nonetheless, expectations are hardest to kill. This evening, while looking at the last sunset of this year, I prayed for 3 kinds of improvements in me. And in these self improvements, I shall focus on my personality development in 2013.

Happy new year 2013 to those of you who celebrate. Best wishes :)
